Alice was recently diagnosed with a rare, pre-cancerous pancreatic cyst—an uncommon finding for someone her age—that was discovered during an emergency room visit and later confirmed through extensive testing and a second opinion at Mayo Clinic. Due to the high risk of progression to pancreatic cancer, her medical team has recommended surgery to remove half of her pancreas, a procedure that carries a 50% chance of resulting in Type 3c diabetes.

Over the past year, Alice has spent thousands on medical care and travel related to her diagnosis and will return to Mayo Clinic in July for additional pre-surgical procedures and consultations. This fundraiser aims to help cover past and upcoming medical bills, travel costs, and related expenses.
