Make it stand out

Thunder Garden is a performance event for puppeteers and other performing artists to showcase and develop new work.

Performers will have 3 - 5 minute to perform new work for a live audience of supportive enthusiasts. All styles and skill levels are warmly embraced.

What if you’re interested in participating, but are new to puppetry? If you need help designing or building puppets, developing ideas, or writing for puppets, Thunder Garden offers collaborative guidance. Maybe you enjoy performing, but your puppet building skills are less developed. Or maybe you’re really good at building and construction, but performance isn’t your thing. We can connect you with creators that have complimentary skills, so that together, you can bring a puppet piece to life.

If you want to perform, please pre-register. This will help us plan the show, and to provide any pertinent equipment, sound support, staging and lighting.

You don’t have to participate to attend, but if you happen to get inspired during the show, there will be a number of “loaner puppets” at the venue. Last minute participation is encouraged!
