Slow Spokes events are by and for women, nonbinary, and gender expansive folks — i.e. those who continue to bear the brunt of gender-based oppression and discrimination.

Thus, Slow Spokes events are NOT for cis men (unless otherwise stated). There are many reasons for this; primarily, we want every single individual who shows up to our events to know for sure that the misogyny/sexism they face in so many other spaces will not exist here.

ROUTE PLANNING 101

Y'all asked, so we're delivering: join us for a Route Planning 101 Workshop at Free Cycles on April 29 from 6:30pm–8:00pm(ish)!

During the workshop, we will cover things like:

• Setting yourself up for a successful trip

• Deciding where to go

• Planning resources (with a special guest!)

• Finding water sources and resupply points

• Land use regulations depending on designation (Forest Service, BLM, etc.)

• And more!
