Bicycling in snow and ice comes with challenges. However, many people around the world pedal in these conditions. Come learn and discuss the ins and outs of bicycle commuting during Missoula winters on Thursday, February 1st from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at Free Cycles. Also spend a little time working on winterizing your bicycle!
No signup necessary, just show up to the shop. Be ready to get your hands dirty, and think about bringing a pen and paper, as well as your own bike. Free admissions yet donations are appreciated. Dress warm, as our shop can be a little chilly this time of year! We hope this workshop can provide some useful tips to keep people safe, as well as inspiration to pedal year round.

We will cover basic skills to keep you and your bike happy in cold, ice, and snow. We will talk about various experiences and challenges with commuting in Missoula specifically in winter months and resources and solutions that can help with these challenges.
6:15p-7:30p
Hands-on time for giving your bicycle some love. We will have easy to install fenders available at no-cost for participants, as well as other tools and supplies to improve your winter commuting experience.
