For the past eight years, Nicholas Carman and his partner Lael Wilcox have spent about half the year working and half the year traveling. Increasingly, they seek off-pavement routes in North America and abroad and have traveled over 75,000 miles in over 25 countries. Lael Wilcox has been traveling the world by bicycle for the past eight years and also competes in endurance races. In 2015, after nine months of bikepacking in Eastern Europe, South Africa and the Middle East, she flew home to Anchorage, Alaska and rode to the start of Tour Divide in Banff, Alberta where she set a new women's record on the route.
