Building the Baja Divide: Lael Wilcox and Nicholas Carman

Come by the shop on the evening of July 14th to enjoy a presentation by 2016 Trans Am Race winner Lael Wilcox and her partner Nicholas Carman about the joys and challenges of bikepacking the Baja Divide.

For the past eight years, Nicholas Carman and his partner Lael Wilcox have spent about half the year working and half the year traveling. Increasingly, they seek off-pavement routes in North America and abroad and have traveled over 75,000 miles in over 25 countries. Follow their adventures at www.gypsybytrade.wordpress.com,www.laelwilcox.com, and @laelwilcox on Instagram.

Lael Wilcox has been traveling the world by bicycle for the past eight years and also competes in endurance races. In 2015, after nine months of bikepacking in Eastern Europe, South Africa and the Middle East, she flew home to Anchorage, Alaska and rode to the start of Tour Divide in Banff, Alberta where she set a new women's record on the route.
